Actor, Teacher, Director, Mentor, Coach. Aaron Speiser’s inimitable approach to screen acting has led him to work with some of the most acclaimed actors, directors, and producers in the industry over the past 40 years. His vast experience and depth of knowledge set him apart as one of the few master teachers in the world, specifically targeting acting for the camera.
At his acting studio in Los Angeles, students can expect a hands-on experience through one-on-one coaching and group classes. Here, together with his partner Kay Aston, Aaron shares his unique and practical acting technique, specifically designed for actors looking to learn and improve their screen acting.
Coach to Will Smith for the last two decades, Aaron Speiser’s most recent work includes Smith’s Academy Award-winning performance in “KING RICHARD.” Notably, his coaching and expertise also secured Academy Award nominations for Smith’s performance in “THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS” and Virginia Madsens’ performance in “SIDEWAYS.”
His first acting studio nurtured the talent of Jennifer Lopez, where she landed her breakthrough role in “SELENA.” Aaron and Jennifer have continued to collaborate for over 30 years, most recently in Lopez’s roles in “HUSTLERS”, "MARRY ME," "THE MOTHER," and "ATLAS."
His on-set work began while coaching Shawn and Marlon Wayans on THE WAYANS BROS. SHOW, which reached syndication after a successful 5-year run.
Jennifer Lopez, Will Smith, Virginia Madsen, Gerard Butler, LL Cool J, Jada Pinkett Smith, Mandy Moore, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Brooke Shields, Jeff Foxworthy, Anna Diop, Francia Raisa, Bree Turner, Ashley Johnson, Damon Wayans Jr., and many more.
Antoine Fuqua, Michael Mann, F. Gary Gray, Barry Sonnenfeld, Adam Shankman, Tim & Trevor White, Wayne Wang, and Peter Berg – to name a few.
After starting his professional career in New York, Aaron Speiser went on to earn an MFA in Acting from Brandeis University in Boston. After graduation, he studied with Uta Hagen, Bill Hickey, and his mentor Kenneth McMillan at HB Studio in New York. Aaron worked as a professional actor and director on numerous stages and TV/Film productions.
As a DGA director, he has directed episodic comedy and his feature film, "TALKING ABOUT SEX," won Best Film Award at the Breckenridge Film Festival.
